Abstract

The invention relates to a hydrostatic drive device (1) for a generator (2), comprising a variable displacement pump (6) for generating a volumetric flow rate of a working medium; a constant motor (9), which is driven by the volumetric flow rate of the working medium, for driving the generator; and a flow regulator (7) with an orifice plate (8) for regulating the volumetric flow rate of the variable displacement pump. The invention is characterized in that a bypass (16) with a regulating valve (17) for a volumetric flow rate flowing through the bypass is arranged around the constant motor.
