The fingerprint identification device comprises a fingerprint acquisition module, an analog-to-digital conversion module and a control module which are connected sequentially, the analog-to-digital conversion module comprises a quantified voltage generator for generating quantified voltage, the fingerprint acquisition module is used for acquiring fingerprint information, the analog-to-digital conversion module is used for carrying out analog-to-digital conversion for the fingerprint information and outputting quantified fingerprint information data, and the control module is used for controlling the quantified voltage generator to adjust the output range of quantified voltage according to the distribution range of the fingerprint information data in order to broaden the distribution range of the quantified fingerprint information data. Consequently, with the simple circuit and low cost, the fingerprint identification device realizes the dynamic regulation of fingerprint image contrast. By increasing the analog-to-digital conversion resolution of the fingerprint information, the invention increases the grey information contrast and signal-to-noise ratio of the fingerprint image, thus ultimately increasing the rate of subsequent fingerprint identification.
