Abstract

The method comprises the steps of observing a left bus of an upper opening of a chimney through a theodolite, locking the vertical direction of the theodolite, and adjusting a horizontal angle to be zero degree; moving the theodolite to a right bus of the upper opening of the chimney in the horizontal direction, and recording the horizontal angle alpha 1 at the moment; dividing 2 from the horizontal angle to obtain an angle beta1 of the middle position, and horizontally moving the theodolite to the angle beta1, wherein the point where the angle beta1 is positioned is a middle point of the upper opening; locking the horizontal direction, releasing the vertical direction, introducing the point to the 2 / 3 position of the height of a person at the lower part of the chimney, and recording the point as a point 1 on the chimney by a marking pen; observing a left bus of a lower opening of the chimney through the theodolite, obtaining the middle point of the lower opening of the chimney by the former method, and recording the point as a point 2; and measuring a horizontal distance L, which is a perpendicular deviation of the chimney, between the point 1 and the point 2 by a steel plate ruler.
