The method includes steps of S10, booting a BIOS (basic input / output system), creating a DMI table, and filling the DMI table with default data of the DMI table; S11, transmitting IPMI (intelligent platform management interface) commands to a BMC (baseboard management controller) via a HOST system to acquire FRU information; S12, updating the DMI table when the FRU information is successfully acquired, storing the DMI table into an NVRAM (nonvolatile random access memory), or reading DMI data stored in the NVRAM previously when the FRU information is not successfully acquired, and updating the DMI table. The method has the advantages that contents of the DMI table can be stored in the NVRAM after the DMI table is completely updated, and are not easy to lose during power failure; DMI information which is previously successfully synchronized can be read from the NVRAM when the DMI and the FRU fail to be synchronized, so that the DMI table can be updated by the aid of the DMI information, and the consistency of the DMI information and the FRU information can be guaranteed.
