Abstract

The rotating disc type neutron chopper comprises a vacuum sealed cavity and a rotating disc. The rotating disc is arranged in the vacuum sealed cavity and is driven by a servo motor to rotate. The rotating disc is provided with a sector opening. Neutron beam windows are correspondingly arranged on the front side and the back side of the vacuum sealed cavity and are channels through which neutron beams pass the vacuum sealed cavity. The servo motor directly drives the rotating disc with the sector opening to cut the neutron beams to guarantee that the neutron beams conforming to the appointed wavelength range can pass the rotating disc type neutron chopper, and therefore the neutron beams with the appointed wave band can be accurately cut out. In addition, the rotating disc type neutron chopper is provided with the vacuum sealed cavity, the rotating disc type neutron chopper can run under the vacuum condition, and therefore scattering of the neutron beams in air when the neutron beams pass the rotating disc type neutron chopper can be reduced.
