Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and apparatus for impact analysis of change requests. The method includes: identifying artifacts and tasks that are potentially affected by a change request on a target project based on a change request repository, a dependency network of artifacts, and a task-artifact mapping repository; based on the change request and the identified artifacts and tasks and the project status tracking library, determine the priority of impact analysis for the identified task; and analyze the impact of the change request on the identified task according to the determined priority.
