Abstract

According to traditional Chinese medicine, craniocerebral trauma may cause dysfunction of internal organs, disturbance of middle jiao and qi activity, combination of phlegm and heat as well as elimination and burning of body fluid, and subsequently the symptom of dry stool or constipation appears. The enema disclosed by the invention is prepared from the following traditional Chinese medicines having functions of clearing heat and hollow viscera, removing blood stasis and stimulating menstrual flow, restoring consciousness and inducing resuscitation, and eliminating phlegm and freeing channels: haloragis micrantha, patience dock root, delavay schefflera root, twig and leaf of taperleaf Japanese spiraea, garden balsam, woolyfruit stylophorum herb, coral ardisia leaf, laxflower embelia root, radix ampelopsis, calamus and Chinese honeylocust root and bark, by decocting with water. Upon clinical tests, total effective rate of the enema reaches 96.0%, which is significantly better than that of a control group; and the enema is significant in curative effect and low in recurrence rate.
