Embodiment Construction

[0014] The method of measuring the distribution and biomass of plant roots based on ground penetrating radar is different from the existing methods, specifically:

[0015] (1) Use ground penetrating radar to obtain electromagnetic wave pulse signals around the tree roots. The principle of ground penetrating radar to measure tree roots is that when electromagnetic waves encounter soil and water-containing tree roots, different echo signals are reflected back. During specific implementation, around the root of the tree that needs to be detected, N scattered detection transects are set with the root as the center, and the angle between adjacent transects is less than 15°. The line is used as the reference for detection. First, set up the base station at T1, then move the distance R1 for detection, and then move the distance from R2, R3 to Rn for detection.

[0016] (2) The scanning direction of the radar to detect underground tree roots is perpendicular to the extension directio...

Abstract

The invention discloses an estimation method for measuring accumulation and biomass of a tree root system with a ground penetrating radar. The method is characterized by comprising the steps of detecting around a tree root with the ground penetrating radar, detecting a distribution form of the tree root system via a received radar echo signal, and estimating the biomass of the underground tree root system by establishing a relationship between a radar detection signal and a measured characteristic of the tree root system.

Description

1. Technical field [0001] The invention relates to a detection method of tree root form distribution and biomass, in particular a ground penetrating radar-based detection method of tree root distribution and biomass. 2. Technical background [0002] The detection of tree roots is an integral part of tree detection. However, since the roots are buried underground, it is quite difficult to observe and sample the roots during actual operation. The traditional method of measuring tree roots has the following problems: [0003] ①Because the underground distribution of the root system cannot be observed, it is difficult to grasp the size and actual distribution shape of the root system, so that the biomass of the root system cannot be accurately estimated. [0004] ②Soil drilling, root digging and soil profile methods are often time-consuming and labor-intensive. Not only the detection steps are cumbersome and the workload is heavy, but also the soil environment and root system st...
