Abstract

The present invention discloses a system and a method for detecting paramagnetic molecular gas. The system comprises: a gas tank, wherein the internal of the gas tank is filled with detected gas modulated by using an alternating magnetic field of a first frequency; a first laser for generating a wave modulating first laser beam having a second frequency, wherein the second frequency is higher than the first frequency; a polarizer for converting the wave modulating first laser beam into linearly polarized light and carrying out incidence of the linearly polarized light into the gas tank; an analyzer for converting the polarization modulating laser beam output from the gas tank into an intensity modulating laser beam; a photodetector for converting the intensity modulating laser beam into an electrical signal through photoelectric conversion; and a first signal demodulator for demodulating the electrical signal to obtain spectrum information of the first detected gas.
