Embodiment Construction

[0078] exist figure 1 The principle configuration of the sensor is schematically shown in . For optical component sensors, light source 110 (which is linear in a particularly advantageous embodiment) is projected by means of objective lens 113 onto a projection surface which intersects the longitudinal axis of the capillary in the direction of optical axis z. In this case, the longitudinal axis y of the linear light source 110 is aligned parallel to the y-axis of the projection plane and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the capillary. The x-axis of the projection plane is oriented coaxially to the longitudinal axis of the capillary. The optical system of the optical probe 111 is equipped with the same components as the optical system of the light source 110 , a light shield 118 and a lens 117 .

[0079] The magnetic detector comprises two differential coils 116 mounted coaxially to the measuring cylinder 115 . The differential coil 116 is accordingly shielded again...

Abstract

The invention relates to a sensor for measuring particles in contaminated media, comprising an optically transparent measuring cell (115), through which a capillary tube (C) for conducting and measuring the medium passes, an optical detector, and a magnetic detector, wherein the measuring cell (115) is cylindrical, the capillary tube (C) extending coaxially in the measuring cell and an inspection space (K) being arranged in the center of the measuring cell, on which inspection space an optical lens system having a light source (110) and at least one optical detector (111) is focused, and differential coils (116) for producing and detecting a coaxial alternating magnetic field form the magnetic detector on the shaft of the measuring cell (115), which differential coils are controlled in such a way that the alternating magnetic field is canceled out in the inspection space (K). The invention further relates to methods for evaluating the signals of the sensor (1) and to uses of the sensor.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a sensor for measuring particles in a contaminated medium with a light-transmissive measuring cell, an optical detector and a magnetic detector, through which a capillary for guiding and measuring the medium passes. Background technique [0002] To identify particles, particles are differentiated according to their specific type and material properties. All such constituents of substances are defined as particles, which are located in the local detection region (control chamber) and, in addition to the substances which are medium, contain particles in the medium. Here, the particles can be contained in the medium in solid, liquid or gaseous form or in vacuum. The medium contains a homogeneous substance with sufficient transparency for the penetration of a certain magnetostatic or electromagnetic alternating field used during detection. [0003] In this case, the detection of particles located in the detection region is detect...
