Problems solved by technology

[0004] Existing monitoring methods generally formulate corresponding monitoring strategies for specific services, and check the running status of all services (that is, whether the service process is running) through server-side polling. However, the existing monitoring methods do not monitor the availability of related services.
A lot of practice has proved that even if the service process is running, it does not necessarily guarantee that the service is available. Taking the storage service as an example, the process of the storage service is still running, but there may be situations where data cannot be written
At the same time, in the case of using a single monitor, the damage of the single monitor will lead to the failure of the monitoring function of the entire system. Three or more monitors, with one as the master and the others as slaves
When the primary monitor fails, the secondary monitor is used to replace the primary monitor; however, when the scheme is working normally, the secondary monitor is idle, resulting in a waste of system resources

Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a system for monitoring service states of cloud storage cluster nodes in real time. Each cluster node is provided with a service state acquirer. The method comprises the following steps that the service state acquirers acquire service state information in the cluster nodes where the service state acquirers are located, process the service state information into a unified format, and report the service state information to a service monitoring processor, wherein the service state information comprises service running state information and service availability state information; the service monitoring processor collects the service state information reported by all the service state acquirers, performs data encapsulation on the service state information to form monitoring information, and externally publishes the monitoring information through a corresponding API (Application Program Interface). According to the method and the system, service running states and service availability are simultaneously monitored through the service state acquirers, so that the monitoring performance of the system is improved, and high availability of cloud service is ensured; the monitoring information is externally published in real time through the corresponding API, so that the extensibility of the system is enhanced.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of cloud storage, in particular to a method and system for real-time monitoring of service status of cloud storage cluster nodes. Background technique [0002] Most of the existing cloud storage products use Ceph technology. Ceph is a PB-level distributed file system that supports three storage services: Object Storage, Block Storage and File Storage through corresponding interfaces. It is both a unified storage system and a distributed storage system, featuring high scalability, high reliability, and high performance. Due to its open source nature, Ceph has been widely used as a unified storage solution in private cloud, public cloud and production environments. [0003] In practical applications, in addition to installing the corresponding storage services provided by Ceph in the Ceph storage cluster, many other services are often deployed and installed, such as HTTP (Hypertext transfer protocol, hypertex...
