The method comprises the following steps: calling space position information of an instrument element related to a 3D model database; calling attribute information of an instrument element related to an automatic instrument information database; extracting a device plane arrangement diagram by using a 3D model as a photographic plate of an instrument plane arrangement diagram; automatically performing data processing on information of the instrument element by using a process by means of a UI interface; and automatically drawing the instrument element on the photographic plate of the instrument plane arrangement diagram, to form the instrument plane arrangement diagram. According to the present invention, direct calling, screening, classification, edition and combination are performed on the space position information and the attribute information of the related instrument element required for drawing, and functions such as automatic classification, hierarchy division, zone division, positioning and marking of the related instrument element are implemented, so that an operation is easy and convenient, manpower input is greatly reduced, and drawing efficiency is significantly improved.
