Abstract

The invention discloses a rapid roaming optimization method for use in a MESH network routing protocol. According to the implementation scheme, the method comprises the following steps that: after a client C enters a roaming state and a first wireless access point AP1 receives a roaming notification sent by a second wireless access point AP2, the first wireless access point AP1 immediately forwards a received data packet to the second wireless access point AP2, deletes an address of the client C in a local conversion table of the first wireless access point AP1, and adds a current address of the client C into a global conversion table; the first wireless access point AP1 transmits a broadcast packet with a roaming banner at a next time interval in order that other nodes in a network can be informed that the client C is at a roaming stage currently; and the second wireless access point AP2 transmits the broadcast packet and informs the other nodes in the network of information indicating that connection is established between the client C and the second wireless access point AP2, and the other nodes in the network establish an optimal link according to the MESH network routing protocol.
