Abstract

The present invention relates to the field of the optical communication technique, particularly to a repeatable plugging automatic test system and an automatic test method of an EML (Electro-absorption Modulated Laser). The repeatable plugging automatic test system of an EML comprises a repeatable plugging clamp and an automatic test control circuit. The repeatable plugging clamp includes a tube socket provided with hollow pipes, and the amount and the positions of the hollow pipes match the amount and the positions of pins of the EML, so that the EML may repeatedly plug on the tube socket. The automatic test control circuit is electrically connected with the pins of the EML arranged on the repeatable plugging clamp. Through the adoption of the invention, the test may be performed with no need for cutting the pins of the EML, and the test with multi-repeat plugging may be carried out, therefore scrapping an EML caused by cutting the pins in the production test process may be effectively avoided.
