Abstract

The invention discloses a looped network protection protocol switching time automatic testing method, equipment and system. The method comprises the following steps: configuring networking equipment in a looped network according to a protocol to be tested in order that the networking equipment in the looped network is communicated with one another according to the protocol to be tested; and executing a switching or back-switching operation on the looped network equipment, and calculating a switching or back-switching time according to a difference between quantities of data packets received and transmitted within a set time after switch-off or switch-on of a port and a set data packet transmission rate. According to the automatic testing method, equipment and system, a communication with switch equipment is controlled through an automatic program, the switch-on and switch-off of the port are executed according a control instruction, and a switching time is calculated with a method of calculating a packet loss number, thereby increasing the working efficiency. On the other hand, the automatic testing method, equipment and system can adapt to various switches and various looped network protection protocols; the protocol to be tested and test times can be specified automatically as required to perform testing; and higher test flexibility is achieved.
