The system comprises a pressure transmitter, an actuating mechanism and a DCS system. The pressure transmitter is used for detecting a pressure value of a circuit and sending a detection signal to the DCS system. The DCS system is used for generating an output signal according to the detection signal and sending the output signal to the actuating mechanism. The actuating mechanism is used for actuating overpressure protective action according to the output signal. The overpressure protection system of the cold functional test in the nuclear power plant is established by the innate DCS system of the nuclear power plant, the acquisition of the special and expensive simulation device for performing the cold functional test is avoided, the cost is reduced effectively, and the temporary device resource of the engineering is saved.
