Abstract

The invention provides a hydration reactor and a method therewith for separating methane from coalbed methane-air mixture. A chamber of the hydration reactor includes, in the flowing direction of a hydrate working fluid, a shrinkage section, a throat pipe section, an enlarged section and a stable section, wherein the flow area of the throat section is less than those of the shrinkage section, the enlarged section and the stable section. A gas inlet is formed on the side wall, which is corresponding to the throat pipe section, of the chamber of the hydration reactor. Through fluid mechanics principle, the hydration reactor achieves suction, self-pressurization and hydration separation of the coalbed methane-air mixture are achieved through change principles of pressure and flowing in different positions of the reactor, thereby avoiding explosion risk during pressurization and pressurized transportation of the coalbed methane-air mixture. The hydration reactor is safe to operate and is strong in practical industrial application availability.
