Abstract

The invention discloses an apparatus and method for measuring elastic moduli of living blue shark pectoral fins. The apparatus comprises the a clamping system for fixing and clamping a blue shark and a measuring system for measuring elastic moduli of blue shark pectoral fins. The method comprises the following steps: (1) water in a water channel is introduced into a water tank by a water pipe till water level of the water tank reaches an opening position of the water tank; (2) the blue shark to be measured is fixed on a working bench by a clamp, the clamp is moved, so that the head of the blue shark enters the water tank by an opening; 3) a liquid level sensor is started for detecting water level in the water tank, if the water level detected by the sensor is lower than a set minimum value, the liquid level sensor controls a water pump to start, and the water pump injects water into the water tank continuously; if the water level detected by the sensor is higher than a set maximum value, the liquid level sensor controls the water pump to close; 4) several measuring points are selected on the blue shark pectoral fins, and related data are measured; 5) elastic moduli of blue shark pectoral fins are calculated according to a formula.
