The method comprises the steps of determining shortest path from a source node in a multirate wireless Mesh network to a destination node, a corresponding forwarding node and the needed transmission rate, and obtaining the multirate wireless Mesh network after the routing metric; separating the different rate links on the network nodes based on a rate separation principle, distributing the different rate links to different interfaces to enable the throughput weights of the nodes to be maximum; carrying out the channel distribution by taking the interfaces on the nodes as units.
