Abstract

Provided is a method for manufacturing a coal briquette, which is inserted and rapidly heated in a dome part of a melting gasifying furnace of an ingot iron manufacturing apparatus, the apparatus comprising: the melting gasifying furnace, into which reduced iron is inserted; and a reduction furnace for supplying reduced iron. The method for manufacturing a coal briquette comprises the steps of: providing a mixture of raw coal and a binder; coating a heat-absorbing material on surfaces of a pair of molding rolls employed to mold the mixture; and inserting the mixture between the pair of molding rolls, and compression-molding the mixture by the pair of molding rolls to provide a coal briquette coated with the heat-absorbing material. In the step of coating the heat-absorbing material, the heat-absorbing material is at least one selected from the group consisting of metal hydroxides, limestone, and dolomite.
