Abstract

The invention provides a series resonant-type fault current limiter, which comprises an electric reactor L and a capacitor bank C, wherein two ends of the capacitor bank C are sequentially connected with a metal oxide arrester MOV, a vacuum trigger switch TVS and a quick by-pass switch K in parallel and then are connected with the electric reactor L in series; the vacuum trigger switch TVS is connected with a first trigger circuit; the quick by-pass switch K is connected with a second trigger circuit; the first trigger circuit and the second trigger circuit are connected with a trigger controller; and the first trigger circuit and the second trigger circuit respectively trigger the vacuum trigger switch TVS and the quick by-pass switch K to be switched on or off under the control of the trigger controller. According to the series resonant-type fault current limiter, the structure, the volume and the weight of the current limiter can be significantly reduced under the premise of reserving the advantages of a traditional series resonant-type fault current limiter; the cost of the whole equipment and the technical difficulty of fault current limitation are reduced; and the invest time of a current limiting reactor is shortened.
