The method for forming the edge-covering structure comprises the following steps of: covering a bottom agent layer on the surface of a reinforcing part; carrying out thermal treatment on the reinforcing layer, surface of which is covered with the bottom agent layer, and rising the temperature of the reinforcing part; and injection-molding an edge-covering material on the surface of the reinforcing part with risen temperature. The car window comprises glass and the edge-covering structure which is formed by adopting the edge-covering structure. The method has the beneficial effects that a covering edge and the bottom agent layer are fitted together more tightly, i.e., the bonding strength between the reinforcing part and the covering edge is increased. Therefore, the covering edge is not liable to desorb from the reinforcing part.
