Abstract

The invention discloses an oscillation identification system and method of a power system. The oscillation identification system comprises an information collecting and processing module, a sine impedance calculating module and an oscillation identification module which are connected sequentially; the information collecting and processing module collects and calculates power frequency voltage and current, determines whether protection is carried out at the two sides of a line, and starts the sine impedance calculating module if YES; the sine impedance calculating module calculates the integrated sine impedance of the line; and the oscillation identification module determines whether oscillation occurs in the power system, sends a locking signal to a protector if oscillation occurs in the power system, and otherwise, sends a tripping signal to the protector.
