Problems solved by technology

There are individual differences in the factor module devices. Uncontrolled charging (natural charging) is likely to cause unbalanced sub-module voltages and low sub-module voltages. The conventional charging control method can make the sub-module voltages tend to be balanced, but when the voltage is balanced IGBT High switching frequency increases device loss and causes high-frequency harmonics

Embodiment Construction

[0016] The technical solutions of the present invention will be described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[0017] Such as figure 1 As shown, it is a system applying the charging control method of the present invention, which can be used in the start-up phase before the grid-connection and unlocking of the system and the temporary grid-connection phase during the system operation.

[0018] The present invention provides a charging control method for a STATCOM system, which is suitable for the main loop structure of the three-phase chained H-bridge cascaded sub-modules. The three-phase sub-modules are independently controlled and circulated in turn. Taking any phase as an example, as shown in the attached figure 2 shown, including the following steps:

[0019] (1) In the first stage, select the first N sub-modules with the highest voltage from the sub-modules, where N≥1; and issue an IGBT bypass command so that these sub-modules are not charged,...

Abstract

The invention discloses a charging control method of an STATCOM (Static Synchronous Compensator) system. The method is applicable to a major loop structure of a three-phase chained H-bridge cascading submodule. The method comprises the steps of selecting first N submodules with highest voltage in a periodic task and issuing an IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) bypass command to allow no charging of the submodules and allow charging of other submodules in a power grid; comparing voltage of the submodules with average voltage upper limits of the submodules after the voltage of the in-phase submodules tends to be balanced; issuing the IGBT bypass command to the submodules when the voltage of the submodules is greater than or equal to the average voltage upper limits of the submodules; and keeping a control command constant when the voltage of the submodules is less than the average voltage upper limits of the submodules. The method effectively reduces IGBT switching frequency of the submodules on the basis of realizing voltage balance of the in-phase submodules, reduces switching loss of a device, and improves long-time running reliability of the STATCOM system.

Description

technical field [0001] The field of system charging control that the present invention relates to specifically relates to a STATCOM system charging control method. Background technique [0002] The chained STATCOM (Static Synchronous Compensator, STATCOM for short) system is formed by cascading multiple sub-modules, and the voltage of the sub-modules is provided by a DC capacitor. There are individual differences in factor module devices, uncontrolled charging (natural charging) is likely to cause unbalanced sub-module voltages and low sub-module voltages, and conventional charging control methods can make sub-module voltages tend to balance, but when the voltage is balanced IGBT High switching frequency increases device loss and causes high frequency harmonics. Therefore, it is very necessary to solve the problem of high IGBT switching frequency on the basis of the conventional charging control method. Contents of the invention [0003] Aiming at the deficiencies in the...
