The intercooler of a vehicle engine comprises an intercooler housing, a first heat exchange pipe group, a second heat exchange pipe group, a first intercooler air chamber, a second intercooler air chamber, a third intercooler air chamber, a fourth intercooler air chamber, a first intercooler pipe joint, a second intercooler pipe joint, a third intercooler pipe joint, and a fourth intercooler pipe joint. The first heat exchange pipe group and the second heat exchange pipe group are arranged in the intercooler housing. The first heat exchange pipe group and the second heat exchange pipe group are heat insulated. A two-stage supercharging technology or a combined dual charging technology is suitable to be used in the intercooler of a vehicle engine. When two compressors exist on the rear of an air filter and in front of a throttle valve, one intercooler assembly is needed on design, and same functions can be realized.
