Abstract

The invention provides a population density analysis system based on high-resolution satellite remote sensing data combined with building height. The system comprises a populated place extraction module, a building height determination module, a grid division module, a grid space calculation module and a population density determination module. By dividing a target area into a plurality of grids and calculating population density with each grid being as the unit, the system can obtain more specific population density distribution situations of the target area, and compared with the prior art, the system is more accurate; besides, the system can accurately determine a populated place region in the target area based on the remote sensing data, so that the population density distribution situations can be determined more accurately with reference of the populated place; furthermore, the system can calculate the height of each building based on the remote sensing data and establish relation between resident living space and the population density from the perspective of space, so that difference of population density of buildings in different heights can be reflected, and the population density distribution situations can be determined more accurately.
