Abstract

The invention discloses an image-segmentation-based boundary processing method in digital volume correlation algorithm. The method comprises: first, telling the regions of interest from the background region; and then performing image segmentation to one set of three-dimension images in need of DVC calculation so that two parts are divided: the volume-of-interest (VOI) and the background (BG) wherein in the DVC calculations, only the displacements and the strains of the calculation points in the VOI are calculated, in the calculation of the displacements, the correlation coupling among the sub-blocks is targeted only to the VOI part, and in the calculation of the strains, only the displacement points in the VOI are utilized to seek the strains. In addition to the telling apart the sub-blocks, the method also considers the number of communication regions in a strain calculation window. With the use of only the sub-blocks or the main communication regions in the strain calculation window to calculate the displacements and the strains, higher accuracy can be achieved to process a complex contour or boundary.
