Abstract

The invention discloses a data management method. The method includes the steps that a first mapping is built for metadata, the address of a first logic block is allocated, and the address of the first logic block is used as the first metadata; a second mapping is built for the first metadata, the address of a second logic block is allocated, the address of the second logic block is stored in a setting position, and the address of the second logic block is used as the second metadata; the second metadata is regarded as user data for processing. According to the method, the problem of complexity that two processes are used due to different treatment on the user data and the metadata by a system is solved. Moreover, multi-level mapping is introduced, so that the data searching efficiency is improved, and the data volume written into a memory when the system is out of power is reduced. The invention further discloses a data management device which has the above advantages.
