The first pixel configuration is higher than the second pixel configuration. The image data processing method comprises the steps of acquiring first image data which are output from the first camera based on the first pixel configuration by the DSP, and acquiring second image data which are output by the second camera based on the second pixel configuration; extracting processing image data from the first image data based on the second configuration; performing synthesis of the processing image data and the second image data for obtaining target image data; and transmitting the target image data to the ISP. The image data processing method and the mobile terminal effectively settle a problem of insufficient ISP platform processing capability.
