The gravity columnar sediment sampler comprises a sampling tube, wherein a lifting head fixing device is arranged at a top of the sampling tube, a releaser rotary shaft is arranged at an outer edge of a lower boss of the lifting head fixing device, and a releaser is installed on the releaser rotary shaft; a lifting head is installed on an outer side of the lifting head fixing device, the lifting head comprises a horizontal bearing plate and a lifting ring welded on the horizontal bearing plate, an opening and a shallow arc-shaped groove are formed in an edge of the horizontal bearing plate, and a pillar of the releaser can enter the opening; a bearing seat is fixed on a middle upper part of the sampling tube, a load fixing shaft rotary shaft and a load fixing shaft thereof are installed on two sides of the bearing seat; and a lead block load passes through the load fixing shaft to be stacked on the bearing seat, and an upper end of the load fixing shaft extends into a fixing hole of the lifting head.
