According to one specific implementation mode of the method, the current water outlet parameters, water inlet parameters, water flow parameters and outdoor temperature parameters of water chilling units of the data center are obtained; the feature parameters of all the water chilling units are obtained by carrying out pre-treatment on the water outlet parameters, water inlet parameters, water flow parameters and outdoor temperature parameters; the feature parameters of the water chilling units are imported into a pre-established machine learning model so that the current electric powers of the water chilling units can be obtained; and the water chilling unit refrigerating the datacenter is determined based on the preset cold loads, the rated refrigerating capacity of the water chilling units and the current electric powers of the water chilling units. Thus, the water chillingunit for refrigerating the data center can be determined according to the preset cold loads of the data center and the current electric powers of the water chilling units, and accordingly the energyconsumption of the data center can be reduced on the premise that the cold load requirement of the data center is met.
