The drying method comprises the following steps of preparing equipment and materials for use before drying; detecting the insulating resistance of a motor stator winding; selecting section specifications of corresponding cables; blocking a motor rotor, if the motor is a synchronous motor, enabling a rotor exciting winding to be short circuited, and if the motor is a winding type motor, enabling a rotor winding to be short circuited; and enabling a three-phase alternating current circuit to be connected to athree-phase winding of the motor, ensuring the current in the winding to be about 50% of a rated current, and detecting the winding temperature.
