Abstract

The invention provides application of diallyl sulfide in preparation of a medicine for preventing / or treating benzene hematotoxicity. The experimental research shows that the diallyl sulfide can effectively antagonize the leucopenia symptom caused by benzene and red cell and hemoglobin decrease symptom induced by the benzene. The invention provides a novel drug for clinically preventing and treating the benzene hematotoxicity in particular to the benzene-induced leucopenia symptom and also opens up a novel medicinal application for the diallyl sulfide and other clinically-safe garlic bioactiveingredients.
