The method and the system relate to the field ofeducation data acquisition technology. Through using an MQTT protocol as a communication protocol between a teacher end and a student end, the smart class data acquisition method based on the xAPI and the system thereof have advantages of saving data traffic, saving electric energy, and realizing simple operation and easy expansion. Original non-structured class behavior data are converted to xAPI standard data. For aiming at an education industry, various teaching activities and steps can be well described, thereby settling many problems of different standards, high data fusion difficulty and inconvenient data migration in education big data. A background data statistics server utilizes a MongoDB database for storing the behavior data which are acquired in class activities. For the massdata, a non-relational database has higher searching executing efficiency. Furthermore the data which satisfy the xAPI standard are formally similar with a complicated JSON structure, and the non-relational database is suitable for use.
