The invention discloses 6063D-RE aluminum alloy and a processing technique thereof. The processing technique comprises the following steps of (1) putting aluminum ingots and Al-Si intermediate alloy in a furnace according to component design requirements, and adding magnesium ingots and Al-rare earth intermediate alloy and Al-Ti-B in sequence after the aluminum ingots and the Al-Si intermediate alloy are molten; (2) degassing, refining, stirring and slagging off, and then casting a cast rod of 100 mm*4000 mm at 730 DEG C by adopting a semicontinuous water cooling casting method; (3) cutting the cast rod into ingot blanks of 100 mm*390 mm, and performing homogenizing treatment on the ingot blanks at 560 DEG C for 6 h; and (4) finally, performing hot extrusion on forming materials by adopting a 6MN extruding machine. According to the processing technique, rare earth is added to the 6063D-RE aluminum alloy, and the magnesium and silicon contents are strictly controlled, so that the hot extrusion performance can be improved. After the rare earth is added to the 6063D-RE aluminum alloy, the shape of precipitation is improved, a certain refining effect is achieved on microstructures of casting ingots, a small quantity of granular rare earth phases are precipitated in the microstructures, and the overall mechanical properties of the alloy are increased.
