Abstract

The invention provides a method of analyzing the synergistic effect of fragrances from alcohol and terpene substances in chrysanthemum flower essential oil on the basis of a [sigma]-[tau] intensity method. The method includes the steps of: with squalane being a substrate, according to the practical concentration of terpene substances in chrysanthemum flower essential oil, preparing a terpene recombinant sample; measuring the intensity of the alcohol substances (A), the terpene recombinant sample (B) and a combination of both, and substituting the data into an intensity calculating equation; applying the data obtained in the above steps into a [sigma]-[tau] intensity model on Sigma Plot 12.0 software and analyzing change on the fragrance intensity values after combination of different alcohol substances and terpene recombinant samples, thus determining the influence on synergistic effect due to the component of the fragrance. Through the [sigma]-[tau] intensity method, the synergistic mechanism of the fragrances from alcohol and terpene substances in the chrysanthemum flower essential oil is analyzed, and change of the intensity of fragrances can be more intuitively reflected. The method illuminates the interaction between the fragrances of the alcohol and terpene substances, is simple in operation, has higher accuracy and is more extensive in application.
