The invention provides a motor used for saving energy, comprising a shell, a stator, a rotor, a rotor shaft, a front end cover, a rear end cover, a cooling fan, a fan housing, a variable frequency control device and a circuit board, the cooling fan is an axial flow fan and fixed on the rotor shaft; the circuit board is arranged on the rear end cover, and the fan housing covers the rear end cover;the stator adopts a single and double layer compound winding, and a neutral point of the single and double layer compound winding is grounded by virtue of a capacitor and a resistor which are connected in series; and the capacitor and the resistor are arranged on the circuit board. Interaction among electric phase lines of the single and double layer hybrid winding can effectively reduce magneticflux density of an iron core, a no-load current of the motor is reduced, a winding coefficient is increased, and electric emergency rehabilitation density of coils is improved, thus output of the motor is improved, current of the motor is increased, and the no-load current of the motor is reduced. The no-load current of the motor can be reduced to about 5-20%, and the effect of saving energy is achieved while national standards are met.
