Embodiment Construction

[0014] The bar belt 1 shown in the drawing has four endless belts 2 arranged parallel to one another. The belt 2 is embodied in this exemplary embodiment as a lug belt and is made, for example, of rubber which is reinforced by a textile insert.

[0015] On the underside of the strip 2 there are lugs 3 which are spaced apart from one another at a predetermined pitch (grid pitch). The cams 3 are used for the positive drive of the rod band 1 . For this purpose, drive means of drive wheels, not shown, which are arranged between the lugs 3 , engage in the recesses 4 . Such embodiments are known from the prior art and therefore need not be explained in greater detail.

[0016] The distance between the individual belts 2 is formed by individual rods 5 which are arranged transversely to the conveying direction of the rod belt 1 and parallel to one another and are connected at their ends to the belts 2 . For this purpose, each rod 5 is provided with a flattened end region 5 . The e...

Abstract

The present invention relates to a rod belt for rod belt conveyors of agricultural machines comprising rods arranged transverse to the direction of transport and parallel to each other, the rods comprising flattened and perforated attachment areas (5.1) by means of which they lie in contact with elastic belts (2) of high tensile strength revolving parallel to each other and being connected to thebelts via rivets or similar attachment means penetrating the attachment area (5.1) and the belt (2), both ends (9) of which belt constituting a joint (8). It is the object of the invention to providea rod belt of this type having an endless connection of high stability while, at the same time, being easy to disassemble and mount. This task is solved according to the invention in that an auxiliarybelt section (7) each is arranged laterally adjacent to the belts (2), the auxiliary belt section bridges the joint (8) between the belt ends (9) whereby the belts (2) and the auxiliary belt sections(7) are interlocked by means of the rods (5).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a rod belt for a rod belt conveyor of an agricultural machine according to claim 1 . Background technique [0002] Such rod straps have long been known from the prior art, for example from DE 1834273 U, DE 29517673 U1 and DE 19520927 A1. The length of the fastening area of the rods in these rod belts is substantially equal to the width of the conveyor belt. The fastening of the rods on the conveyor belt is done by means of rivets or similar fastening means. For this purpose, corresponding holes are provided for the fastening means in the fastening area of the rod, which holes are aligned with the holes in the conveyor belt. [0003] The belt must be made seamless for use. According to the prior art, this is done mechanically, for example by means of a locking buckle, or the straps overlap at their butt joints and are vulcanized seamlessly or wound seamlessly throughout. The two connections mentioned later have a long se...
