Abstract

The invention discloses a migratory biological information monitoring method based on weather radar data. The method comprises the steps that creature echo reflection rate data is extracted from echoreflection rate data of a weather radar; nonuniform creature migratory height distribution intervals and distant radar wave broadening are taken into consideration; furthermore, the creature echo reflection rate obtained in step two can be converted to airborne migratory creature density in a corresponding region to count the creature amount of migratory creatures and the relation along with the variation of time of the creature amount. The method has the advantages that counting errors caused by non-fully filling of wave beams can be avoided to improve the extraction accuracy of the migratorycreature echo, and an effective means is provided for monitoring large-scale migratory creature number.
