Embodiment 19

[0052] An emulsifiable concentrate with the following composition was prepared:

[0053]

[0054]

[0055] Examples 1 to 18 were tested to determine their photolytic stability using the following procedure:

[0056] Add 20 mL of the solution to the quartz tube. The tube is continuously irradiated with UV light from a UV lamp. Aliquots (100 [mu]L) of this solution were removed from the tube at 2 hours and 8 hours. The concentration of sulfentrazone in each aliquot was determined by HPLC.

[0057] The results are summarized in Table 2 below.

Abstract

A herbicidal composition for application to plants to control weeds is provided, and the composition comprises sulfentrazone and an anti-photolysis agent, wherein the anti-photolysis agent is metolachlor-sperm. The ratio of the amount of sperm metolachlor to the amount of sulfentrachlor is generally about 2:1 to about 5:1. The amount of sulfentrachlor is preferably from about 10% to about 15.6% by weight of the herbicidal composition, and the amount of refined metolachlor is preferably from about 45% to about 50% by weight of the herbicidal composition . The composition may also include liquid diluents, solid diluents, wetting, dispersing or thickening agents, and combinations thereof.

Description

[0001] Cross References to Related Applications [0002] This application claims priority to Australian Patent Application No. 2016210751, filed with the Australian Intellectual Property Office on 5 August 2016, entitled "Methods for the preparation of new formulations of sulfentrazone and uses thereof", the entire contents of which are incorporated herein as refer to. technical field [0003] The present invention relates to 2',4'-dichloro-5'-(4-difluoromethyl-4,5-dihydro-3-methyl-5-oxo-1H-1,2,4-triazole -1-yl) new formulations of methanesulfonylaniline (sulfentrazone) and anti-photolysis agents, their preparation methods and their use in agrochemical formulations. Background technique [0004] 2',4'-dichloro-5'-(4-difluoromethyl-4,5-dihydro-3-methyl-5-oxo-1H-1,2,4-triazole-1- Base) methanesulfonylanilide (sulfentrazone) is a protoporphyrinogen oxidase inhibitor. The molecular formula of sulfentrazone is C 11 h 10 Cl 2 f 2 N 4 o 3 S. Its chemical structure is: ...
