Abstract

The river-linked lake shallow water vallisneria seedling lotus leaf and mud wrapped planting method comprises selecting planting areas with a water depth of 0.5-0.8 m and water transparency of 40 cm and with the bottom mud applicable to providing sufficient nutrition for vallisneria; wrapping a bundle containing 3-4 vallisneria seedlings into wet natural lake bottom mud at a height of 15-20 cm, with a bottom diameter of 10-15 cm and in a cylindrical shape; then integrallywrapping the wrapping mud with free lotus leaves but exposing the seedlings, tightening the lotus leaves at the exposed seedlings with straw, and shearing off superfluous lotus leaves higher than thewrapping mud; arranging the wrapping mud with the vallisneria seedlings on water at an interval of around 5 m so that the vallisneria can fall down to the water bottom and grow up naturally.
