The invention discloses a method for domesticating and cultivating indoor
coilia ectenes from
juvenile fish to mature parent fish in a whole
growth cycle by using a compound feed, and relates to the technical field of
aquaculture. According to the method, through staged
domestication, the bait types are gradually converted so as to meet the feeding
habit requirements of the
coilia ectenes at different development stages. In the parent fish rearing stage, the
coilia ectenes successfully domesticated in the early stage are continuously fed with the compound feed, the acceptability of the parent fish is high, the spawning fertilization rate can reach 60% or above, and the postpartum
survival rate exceeds 90%. By controlling the breeding density and the
water transparency and optimizing the survival space and the
water quality condition of fish schools, the death rate of residual food is controlled within 8%, and the
overall survival rate is increased. According to the method, a bait
casting machine is adopted for slowly and continuously feeding commercial feed (without
processing), meanwhile,
surface tension is used for enabling the feed to float temporarily and sink slowly, the feed simulates the hovering effect in a
water body for a long time, and the coilia ectenes are successfully induced to eat the sinking feed. The
domestication time is obviously shortened, and the
ingestion time and efficiency are improved.
