Abstract

The invention belongs to the field of hydrofluoroether and particularly relates to an azeotropic composition and application thereof. The azeotropic composition comprises the following components: (1)a hydrofluoroether compound F [CF (CF3) CF2O] x-RH, wherein x = 2-7, RH is one of CH3, C2H5, n-C3H7 or i-C3H7; and (2) an organic solvent. The application of the azeotropic composition as a cleaningsolvent is provided, and an object needing to be cleaned is contacted with the azeotropic composition or vapor of the azeotropic composition until unwanted dirt is dissolved, dispersed or replaced andwashed off. The azeotropic composition is the cleaning solvent which has a boiling range suitable for various cleaning uses, and is acceptable in stability, low in toxicity, short in atmospheric service life, low in global warming latent value and low in ozone consumption potential.
