An infrared spectrum diagnosis method for an operating state of electrical equipment in a power system comprises the following steps of determining the contour and position of the electrical equipmentin an infrared image by using the image recognition technology, and obtaining the highest temperature of the equipment through infrared image recognition; constructing a solid model of the electricalequipment through thermodynamic simulation, obtaining the temperature distribution of the electrical equipment operating under different electrical and meteorological conditions by a finite element analysis method, and taking the simulated temperature as a sample to train the neural network; predicting the maximum temperature of the electrical equipment under different operation conditions with the trained neural network, and comparing the obtained maximum temperature with the maximum temperature obtained by infrared image recognition, thereby realizing the diagnosis of the operating state ofthe equipment.
