Benefits of technology

The technical effect of this patented method compared to existing methods that use silanes or other chemicals on electronics grade fibers was improved thermal stability during processing without compromising their properties like strength. This resulted in better performance characteristics when applied to various applications where they were previously needed due to poorer quality materials.

Problems solved by technology

This patents discusses how improving the quality (strength) and durableness of printing circuits can improve their overall functioning. However, there still needs some improvement from existing methods like adding silanes or treatments during this step. Silan coupler agents play key roles in ensuring good adhesion and moistening behavior while also reducing impurities within the fabricated substrate itself. These improvements help maintain reliable functionality even after multiple cycles of thermal stress testing without losing them over time.

Abstract

The invention provides an electronic-grade glass fiber cloth surface treating agent and a preparation method thereof. The electronic-grade glass fiber cloth surface treating agent comprises: a silanecoupling agent having a general formula of ZY(CH2)nSiX3; an inhibition buffer agent having a general formula of Z; acetic acid; and deionized water, wherein n is an integer of 0-3, X is selected fromchlorine group, methoxy group, ethoxy group, methoxyethoxy group and acetoxy group, Y is selected from vinyl group, amino group, epoxy group, methacryloyloxy group, mercapto group, and carbamido group, Z is selected from a benzene ring with a hetero group substitute, and a hetero group is selected from vinyl group, amino group, epoxy group, methacryloyloxy group, mercapto group and carbamido group. The preparation method comprises weaving electronic-grade glass fiber cloth, desizing, soaking in the electronic-grade glass fiber cloth surface treating agent, drying, and rolling up. The electronic-grade glass fiber cloth surface treating agent herein has the advantages of good heat resistance, good ionic migration resistance and low water absorption, and therefore, is applicable to the high-end printed circuit board industry having high requirements.
