Abstract

The invention provides a quantification method and system for composition of macerals in rocks, and relates to the technical field of energy exploration. The system comprises an optical microscope, animage acquisition device and an image processing device, wherein the image acquisition device is configured to acquire a plurality of pieces of image information of an optical plate under the opticalmicroscope, and the optical plate is from the rocks; and the image processing device is configured to determine the proportional value of the macerals in the total volume of the rocks according to the image information. The quantification method and system for composition of the macerals in the rocks realize the quantification process for composition of the macerals of organic petrology, enhancepracticality and solve the problem of errors existing in visual estimation methods and pixel counting methods in the prior art.
