The method comprises the steps of extracting moving vehicles on the basis of animage sequence of a monitor video so as to obtain vehicle trajectory data, and carrying out mathematical statistics on the vehicle trajectory data of each vehicle type to obtain traffic flow data; respectively extracting the traffic flow data on the basis of radar microwave data and earth coil data; and fusing any parameter, in the traffic flow data, respectively obtained by the vehicle trajectorydata, the radar microwave data and the earth coil data according to each set weight. For the characteristics such as diversity and complexity of multi-source heterogeneous information in the form, the data of three sources such as coil data, radar microwave data and road monitor video is processed, and a data mining technology and a data fusion technology are combined to construct a multi-mode information fusion model.
