Abstract

The invention discloses a method for preparing a composite insulator by dip-coating and special equipment thereof. A to-be-machined insulator ball head end fitting is embedded into a ball head adaptergroove; the axial distance is adjusted through rotation of a bolt; a to-be-machined insulator ball socket end fitting is fixed to a ball socket adapter; the ball socket adapter and a variable frequency motor coupler are installed in an aligned mode; a coating groove is formed between the ball head adapter and the ball socket adapter; and a lifting device used for driving the coating groove to ascend and descend is arranged at the lower end of the coating groove. According to the invention, ascending of the coating box is achieved by controlling the lifting device; most of the to-be-machined insulators are immersed in liquid in the coating groove; the to-be-machined insulators are completely and evenly coated with coating; the coating box descends by controlling the lifting device; the to-be-machined insulators are separated from the liquid in the coating groove; and the rotating speed of the insulators is controlled by controlling the rotating speed of the variable frequency motor, sothat the purposes of infiltrating and removing redundant coating are achieved. According to the invention, manpower is saved and the working efficiency and the product quality are improved in the process of infiltrating the insulators in the coating.
