The control method comprises the steps of prohibiting running of an EGR system when detecting that a deicing switch is turned on and an enabled state of the ECU is set to a turn-on state, and limiting the output torque of an engine to be within a preset range; controlling a cooling fluid throttling solenoid valve to be totaled opened when the upstream temperature of an EGR to be higher than a first preset temperature threshold value, and starting deicing timekeeping; judging whether the deicing timekeeping time is greater than or equal to a first time threshold value or not, or judging whether the running time of the engine is greater than or equal to a second time threshold value or not; and if yes, determining the EGR system control device to complete deicing and normal starting of the EGR system. According to the EGR system control method and device, and the ECU, the opening proportion of the cooling fluid throttling solenoid valve is controlled by collecting the upstream temperature of the EGR, and the flow of cooling fluid flowing into an EGR intercooler is determined, so that the upstream temperatureof the EGR rises to melt ice in the EGR system and remove frozen ice in the EGR system without manual dismantling.
