The pomegranate PgBEL1 gene is related to the growth and development of ovule in plant pistils, provides a research direction for regulation genes of the development of female and male reproductive organs of plants, also provides a way for the related research on the BEL1 protein function, is applied in the plant organ development gene function research, and has good application prospects.
